Boston Community Tutoring

FAQ

Our tutors receive rigorous, internal company background checks from Boston Community Tutoring leadership. The recruitment process begins with a set of written questions for our applicants. After screening their answers, we speak with at least one reference and invite our prospective tutor to an interview. If they pass the interview, they begin a rigorous training program curated by our leadership team to ensure that they optimize their performance. At this time, we cannot guarantee that all our tutors will receive a Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check. We mandate CORI checks for individuals above the age of 22. If you would like the tutors that work with your child and/or organization to complete a CORI check, you must make a specific request via our CORI-check request form here.

At Boston Community Tutoring, we feel that education represents the most powerful investment of time and energy a human being can make. Education opens the doors to financial security and equips individuals with the tools to make a substantive difference in their communities and in the world. We also believe that individuals have an obligation to make the world a better place. Inspired by these steadfast beliefs, our organization seeks to assist under-served students in attaining their educational goals. We love what we do. We love the people with whom we work. We’d love to assist you or your organization in any way possible.
